Why Talent Management in Women's Sport is more important than ever

Hi, I’m Rachel, founder of Gameface Global.
This all started with a simple observation – that we can do better:
There is so much talent in women’s sport that still flies under the radar.
I’ve spent the last few years working across the sports industry, but in 2020, I made a decision to focus on a space I care deeply about: supporting women and girls to thrive in cricket, not just on the pitch, but around it, behind it, and beyond it.
The sport wasn’t so important, I'm not a cricketer and never have been, but the drive to help women thrive and dominate in their field was personal to me.
I created one of the most successful cricket teams in Essex. We dominated the scene. We are record holders. We are back to back league title holders. Our players feel supported and challenged. We continue to push forwards. We enjoy being successful.
How did this happen? A willingness to compete, to thrive and to keep pushing forward.
And what I found was clear: the appetite is there. The talent is there. But the platform to support and spotlight it is still catching up.
Now, I'm scaling that mission.
Gameface Global is a talent management platform focused on providing the right support, visibility, and career strategy to go further in women's sport and beyond it.
Gameface will help to spark conversations, create opportunities, and give professional female athletes and coaches the confidence to perform, be seen, valued, and be ambitious about where sport could take them.
We work with individuals who are driven, grounded, and ready to take their career seriously and we bring in trusted expertise around:
Representation & negotiation
Sponsorship & partnerships
Talent Search & Selection
Brand building & media
Career planning & mentorship
Overseas opportunities
We’re building a global network of athletes, coaches, brands and opportunities. But most importantly we're doing it with integrity and a deep understanding of women's sport..and we’re just getting started.
